South Korean passport holders are exempt from visa requirements and are allowed to stay in Vietnam for not more than 15 days. You can get your visa extended in Vietnam if you want to stay more however, it is advised to apply for Vietnam visa if you have plan to stay more than 15 days because your passport will be kept for 1 week to get visa extended.
South Korean citizens want to stay more than 15 days or doing business in Vietnam now can apply for visa on arrival at international airports of Vietnam without visiting and sending off passport to the embassy of Vietnam in South Korea.
In order to get Vietnam visa on arrival, South Korean citizens just need to fill on secured Vietnam visa form online (https://www.vietnamvisaform.com/apply-vietnam-visa) through a visa agent in Vietnam, they will take care your visa application, following procedure and documents required from Vietnam Immigration Department, send couriers to government office on your behalf to get approval letter, get the approval letter scanned and sent to your email. After getting the approval letter, just need to print it out to show for boarding and show at visa issuing office in arrival to get visa stamped on the passport.
Note : South Korean citizens apply for Vietnam visa on arrival to stay more than 15 days please remember to stop at land visa office (also called visa on arrival office) located in front of immigration line at international airports of Vietnam to hand the approval letter from Vietnam government + passport to get visa stamped on your passport. You will get visa free 15 days and the approval letter for visa more than 15 days will be invalid if you go straight without stop at landing visa office to get the visa as the approval letter allows.
