Meeting with Chairman of the House of Representatives (Lower House) V. Andreichenko and Deputy Chairman of the Council of the Republic (Upper House) A. Rusesky in Minsk on May 16, Dung briefed the hosts on the outcomes of talks with his counterpart Mikhail Myiasnikovich.
He said during the talks, the two sides agreed to continue completing the legal foundations for bilateral cooperation and actively supporting import-export activities to increase two-way trade while focusing on boosting industrial and agricultural cooperation, and expanding cooperation in promising areas like education-training, science-technology and local cooperation.
Dung suggested the Belarus side continue creating favourable conditions for the Vietnamese community to live and do long-term business in the host country, thus contributing to consolidating the friendship and mutual understanding between the two peoples.
Andreichenko and Rusesky said that the Vietnamese and Belarusian legislatures have enjoyed close cooperation with the regular exchange of high-ranking delegations.
They affirmed that the National Assembly of Belarus strongly backs cooperation between the two countries, especially in economics, trade and investment, heading to the target of 1 billion USD in two-way trade in the future.
The two sides expressed their pleasure at the close coordination between the two countries at the United Nations, Non-Alliance Movement as well as other international forums and organisations, including inter-parliamentary forums on democracy and human rights.
The same day, PM Dung offered flowers at the Victory Square in the capital city of Minsk. /.
